The Democratic party should hold a summit of all factions to discuss how to jointly fight fascism.

However, to unify and fight fascism you have to purge the internal corruption that has allowed money instead of people’s needs to determine policy. This corruption brought “the Swamp” around DC that pushes people toward Trumpism. Corporate and other big money “donations” – bribery – has led to Congress never passing anything except favors for corporations and big money.

The problem with fighting corruption is that corruption gives the advantage to the corrupt so when it becomes entrenched it gets harder and harder to do something about it. The corrupted Dem consultant class and the “corporate Dems” will fight it just like the oil companies fight the Green New Deal and other efforts to fight the climate crisis. And, like the oil companies, they have serious power and money to use in that fight. Reforming the Dem party to fight corruption is an existential threat to their corruption.
